No, I haven't souped it up, I set up all my planes using Tom's power panel after making sure all of the dims., etc., are correct in the .cfg file. The only .cfg change that I can see is that I have the power scalar at 0.905. Unfortunately, the plane has an .exe install file and so I don't have the original .cfg file to compare. But as I remember, it flew pretty good "out of the box". It does start a little slow on take-off, but I just made two TOs (with full fuel) from Troughton Island (3235' long). The first with no flaps and about 6* ElTrim and I needed all 3235', the 2nd with 2 notches of flaps and the same ElTrim, and it was ready to fly with runway to spare. I have noticed that it seems to help on TO if I go to full throttle and then hit Ctrl . and then . again to set and reset the parking brake. When planning my trip home I made a TO from Palmer Station OK, the runway there is 2500'. I can't remember the fuel load I had at the time, so I'll only load enough to get to Punta Arenas. Palmer has another issue, the active runway ends fairly close to an ice cliff. I can post sections of my .cfg file if that would help. Also, I have modified the panel, using gauges a la Tom, but using the original gauges, just re-arranging them. Hope this helps.

Thanks Allen. I've checked the power scalar I have set and it's 1.0. I'll try adjusting that and see how it goes. I think I need to look more closely at flap settings as well. I've also modded the panel a little, to add some modern luxuries (not too many though, it's too good a plane to muck about with). If it comes out to GAAR 2010 it will be in RAF colours (what else?). I'll catch up with you then, if not somewhere around the network beforehand.
Hang on in there.

Homeward bound...Off blocks at Davao, Phillipines. Todays’ leg is to Subic Bay, northern Phillipines. Over Cebu Strait. Crossing Panay Island, with a Cebu Pacific A320 below. Sibuyan Island slowly fills our windscreen. Yes, the Phillipines consists out of many islands… Descending into Subic Bay. Subic Bay was once the largest U.S. Navy installation in the Pacific and the largest overseas military installation of the U.S. It closed in 1992. Bay approach Over the threshold and power retarding. Arriving at the gate… ..and unloading some stuff. Soon we will be on our way again.

Today: Subic Bay to Taipei Intl, on Taiwan Island.Preparing for departure at Subic Bay. View from the cockpit during push-back at Subic. "Start number three!" . Thundering away runway 07 and leaving Philppine soil. Outbound near Cape Bolinao. Taiwan is coming into view. Looking down at the city and airport of Kaohsiung on the west side of Taiwan. ATC makes us to perform a rapid descend, so spoilers out and rumbling noise in the cockpit! Slicing through the cloud layers. Auto pilot was switched 'OFF' at 1000 feet. Landing by hand is easy (and fun) under these good conditions. Roll out and reversing at Taipei. next: Hong Kong Kai Tak!!

Since the GAAR has come to an end now, and this thread maybe closed, I'll post the remainder of my homebound "Odyssee"- pics to the regular Bluegrass screenshots-forum again. Please see the "April shots" for the latest Kai Tak-flight. As always: spectacular!! And more to follow ofcourse...
