I've never given a wooden prop much thought, thinking it to have very limited value as something too fragile, or not a "serious" prop. Silly me. I found a neat article by a guy from Sensenich: pipercubforum.com/woodprop.htmI was actually reading up on the new Cub from a2asimulations.com/Real life cub fliers are saying "they got it right" with ground handling, spins, and it even involves hand propping. Great looking aircraft with a wood prop.

It's just another fixed-pitch prop. The original Cub FD had many flaws. I fixed them to my satisfaction, including spins years ago and posted the results on my wb site. The only thing still tough to do inmy Cub is a cross-wind landing.

As far as wood props go, I'd never considered the damping effect, nor had any idea that they don't have TBO if kept up. It's just an area I'd never put my mind into. A buffer to protect the engine in case of prop strike, even.
I had your FD's in a previous FS9 Cub install about three computers ago. Since moving to FSX I havent' tried to import the FD's but I suppose it could translate? I don't fly the Cub all that much, but it's mainly because I am terrible with taildraggers. I give it a shot every now and then. The Maule in FSX I'm able to handle, though.

Flaming why don't you try using Toms FD and rename the maule airfile to that of the cub and see what happens after backing up the cub airfile should that work Tom?
