As Andrew said, lockups are usually the result of trying to overlay too much information. The google maps API (by it's own admission) doesn't scale too well beyond a couple of hundred objects, and, depending on your window size and zoom level it's not hard to get Plan-G pushing 5 or 6 thousand elements at the server, or even more in dense areas of the U.S. P-G does dial things back as you zoom out, but depending on where you are in the world that may not be enough. So you can adjust the settings manually for each zoom level. The things that add the biggest overhead are Intersections, airways, airspace and in the US 'small' airports. But, my own forum is the best place to talk about these things T

Andrew, question about waypoints. Not that I mind, but why not using the wording QDR / QDM for NDB navigation or track and radials for VOR navigation? Cheers Urs

Cheers Urs Urs, I try and keep the "wording" to plain English, as much as possible, so those who are not as experienced or have no "real world" flying experience can understand and participate in the event.

Urs, No need to apologise. The more questions are asked, the more everyone will understand and maybe also learn something new. In which case, the GAAR fulfills an unofficial objective of increasing participants knowledge of flying.

Yes. As I have noted in other posts in the threads about scenery, there has been a distinct increase in the migration to FSX.

Heh. This morning before work I fired up both sims and did a quick test flight out of YBUD. Oh, yeah, FSX. It's just worth it.

"Flying Russian Aeroplanes Is An Art"
Have you lost the art Comrade? Or was Curtiss a closet Russian? The 46 does look a little like an Li-2 on steroids, perhaps you have become confused after a tad too much of Proppy's kettle drainage.
I am sure there is a logical explanation, Mmm !!

even a french can use it ! Aussi les rosbifs... Smudge, Whilst I might question the accuracy of your spelling / pronunciation, it would appear this is a dig at the Aussies. Mate, please, we are humiliated enough by the cricket. By the way, nice work with Ver 2.0.3, it seems to work faster, at least on my machine.

"also the roast beefs" in English. Rosbif is what the French call the English, in the same way that the Aussies (similar spelling ) call us poms, or Americans call us limeys...

Ah, well that's OK then. I never could speak French anyway. Some very disastrous but hilarious attempts in my trips to the "continent".
