Hi,
Been a while since I was here and was just wondering if there was going to be a 2011 GAAR?
As well as just checking in to see how you all are behaving since I saw you all last! ;D
Merry Christmas to you all...

Hi Lee, When Andrew sent my GAAR certificates back in June he included the note: "Just to let you know, planning for the GAAR 2011 is well underway with an expansion to the format to provide more challenges for the experienced pilot (if they want it). So you might want to "brush up" on NDB and ILS approaches under minimal visibility. Otherwise just enjoy the more scenic option and "pit yourself" against the clock." I noticed that Andrew flew the DC-3 WR 2010 this year and it was really "educational". Haven't heard from him since, but I hope all is well. I'm looking forward to it. And Merry Christmas to you and yours also. Allen

Well what great news - really enjoyed last years event & my award greatfully received mid year Really looking forward to the nwew event - any ideas yet on timescales - I was going to fly the Vickers Viscount down over the coming month trying to get Vatsim gents (and ladies) to give me 1950's NDB and VOR route clearances rather than fixes etc A good new year to all and hope it brings you all you wish for Mike (UK)

Season's Greetings everyone and good to see the eager anticipation for the GAAR 2011.
This is the 10th Anniversary of the GAAR, an achievement not easily attained.
The GAAR has now been officially launched and participant registration is open.
Urs, Good to see Switzerland looking as beautiful as ever. Australia, and particularly areas for this year's GAAR, have had a similar "blanketing" but not of the FROZEN type. Flood waters will be receding for weeks to come.
