Hi everyone,
My name is Brett and have just signed up to fly in this fine division. I'm from the U.S but needed a change of pace and I heard that the folks are friendly here, the beer is cold and the women are all gorgeous. I was also told that it's a great place to work on my tan. I will stay active (work sucks but I need the bucks) and try not to break your aircraft.
Kidding aside, it's nice to be here and look forward to learning about this area of the world and flying the many different routes available here. I just had the pleasure of flying in my first rally, GARSA 2011, and enjoyed it so much I flew it twice. I want to throw out a big thanks to Andrew Godden for all his time and effort in running this rally and also for his help in getting me started here. Sorry about all the PM's.
While I'm here, does anyone know a link to sectional charts and approach plates for the area flown in this division?
Ok, well take care and hope to see ya in the air. ;D Brett Cody

Perfect. Thanks Andew, that is just what I was looking for. I had found the main Airservices site that has all the written procedures in it but didn't see that perticular link.
Thank Again, Brett

Hash, there is a DC-5 available for FS2004 , file dc-5_v2.zip at www.flightsim.com I know nothing about the quality of the file but it will give you an insight into the aircraft. The DC-5 was doing a lot of work in your area before the Japanese invasion forced them to be removed. Australian National Airlines operated one of these (ex DEI) DC-5s as VH-CXC. For some more info have a look at www.edcoatescollection.com/ac1/austcl/VH-CXC.html Have fun, Ed

Hash,
Douglas only produced five DC-5's in total for the civilian market and 12 in total. Four of the five civilian models were used by KNILM in the then Dutch East Indies during 1940 / 41.
There is a FS9 based model available on flightsim.com. Do a search for dougdc5.zip.
Edit. Further to Ed's post, the file I mentioned is a more recent and updated model.
Cheers Andrew

Hash, I see from the screenshots that you've found a DC-5. Rather a nice aeroplane, isn't it.
There's also a Bluegrass paintjob (by Ed Wells) available for it in the FS2004 section of the BGA hangar.
