Must say you have a good point , Plus if your like me , can't afford to buy a new computer every time a new Simulation comes out or a new version of Windows.

Merry Christmas , to Sim Aviators around the globe. 2019, I hope I cam finish it, going to try. Health is bad. I look at the forums everyday ,for years now , and like the entry numbers in the rallies ,they are fewer and fewer. Lets face it, few younger people want to take the time to set and fly routes , when they can play on there phones. I hope Virtual Airlines can survive as I have spent years enjoying flying for Bluegrass ,will try to keep going in 2019.

Winter time here in Michigan ,gray sky ,snow flakes , and when the sun comes out it's 0 or below. I'm looking forward to seeing the great screen shots from both of you and the other pilots. Now I think I will get my Alaska Flights done , then transfer for some Bluegrass flights like Bahama , Jammaca , some place warm.

My father died last night, served aboard the USS Boise through out WW2 , started flying in 1948 taught by an instructor with a licence signed by Orville Wright. aircraft logged time in : Taylorcraft , Piper J3, Stinson Vouger , Fairchild PT-19, Luscomb 8a , Cessnas 120 - 182 , Globe Swift, Aronica Champ @ Chief , Piper Cheroke , Erocoupe, Bellanca Super Viking. last 18 years he has been grounded ,bad heart, cancer but managed to sneak some flights as a passenger from friends in the Florida park he lived in. Several lives he saved by teaching young pilots who asked, spin recovery , snap rolls, power stall, you know the things instructors were told to stop teaching students. He is missed.

thought I had lost my Lion Heart Creations Super Viking , then while looking for my pile of old flight sim disks found it again. Having had the pleasure of watching my father rebuild one from the ground up( bought it from a collage that cancelled its aviation programs ) and spending hours flying the wooden winged power house I am glad to have it back in the hanger again.

VERY CLOSE , I flew this flight at 4000Ft. maybe if I get up to 7000 Ft and put in a little more pitch I can squeeze the distance needed out of it.....I better have Air Sea Rescue on standby.

Got me thinking. FUEL CONSUMPTION ! so I made a 276 mile flight with the float version ,193.87 minutes later, pulled off the runway to have only 2 gallons left in each tank. I think will fly the stock version over land routes and the float version for those sections. A big fuel consumption with the 200HP variable prop float ,compared to the classic 100 HP retract gear version.
