Hi Rob, I've flown the default 172, Stinson and Columbia, they seem to fly properly. I'm wondering, since I'm only getting frame rates of 18-19, if the "response" of the planes has been slowed, making them easier to fly than if I were getting frame rates of 50. Allen

Hi Allen,
I am about to install P3D v4 and compare it to XP11.
There is a guy on U- tube by the name of Q8 Pilot he makes some very good and helpful videos and tutorials, I would recommend that you watch a few on setting up and getting good FPS.
One statement he made was if you wish to fly GA aircraft go for XP11 but if you wish to fly airliners, which is my personal preference, go for P3 v4, interesting.
Have you tried various slider settings within the sim, I believe one big frame rate hog is cloud draw distance, try knocking that back a notch or two and see if that improves your FPS, then just play with the sliders until you can get the most out of your rig.
Also do you have much stuff running in the background ? There is a program that was recommended to me that will shut down all that background stuff that is not needed whilst you are simming. I haven't tried it and can't remember the name but know where to find it again. I will let you know the name once I find it again.
Rob
