Happy Christmas to one and all. May the New Year bring you all you wish for. Anyone unsure whether they are on the nice or naughty list may want to keep an eye on the Norad Santa Tracker at www.noradsanta.org/Cheers, Allan

Merry Christmas to all. I hope the New Year will be better for our friends in NSW and other places of stress.

Not sure how to start a new topic, so here goes. I'm thinking of flying a Piper Aztec E in X-Plane for the 2020 GAAR. I have the same plane in FSX for comparison. I have flown the test flight from EGPE to EGPA in both planes using the downloaded files. I'm now at EGPA and I want to create a flight plan for the return trip, EGPA-DY-KSS- EGPE for the GPS 430 in X-Plane. So how do I enter the NDB and VOR into the flight plan? It's a cinch in FSX. Also, the map does net even show the DY NDB and it looks like the VOR is listed as LSM. So I can't get a bearing to DY from the map or know when I get there. But somehow the 430 knows where DY and KSS are. So unless the GAAR will provide Flight plans for X-Plane to download I'm at a loss. I'm pretty new to X-Plane as far as creating flight plans. I've read the manual for the 430, not much help. Any ideas? Allen

Plans will be available. Also I should have mentioned that one work round would be to download Plan-G, link it to the X-Plane files, and then you can generate flight plans by adding airports and radios as you go. It is fairly simple and free. Two things I like about any software.
Cheers, Allan

Yeah, I thought about that. I have Plan-G but never made it work. I also have Littlenavmap, I think that will make a flight plan also. For now I think I will use the plans that will be available. Thanks for your quick reply. Allen
