Southern Sweden Hops BGA Flights December 25, 2021. Yup Christmas day Thanks Allen. I hope your Christmas was blessed. Aviat Pitts Special, MSFS 2020 ESSV Visby to ESSW Vastervik When I got here 3 days ago there were just light patches of snow on the ground - it is colder and snowier now. It was kind of chilly in the Aviat bi-plane (even with a canopy). I love the floating ice down there And I like the snow melt on the sunny side of the roofs. This is ESSW Vastervik. Changed to a Diamond Aircraft DA-62 with a little warmer and more comfortable cabin for the hop to ESSP Kungsangen. I can barely see the runway down there This far north the sun is not very high in the sky - was about noon. Made it to ESSP. Next two hops are ESSZ and ESSB

Wonderful shots Steve, great scenery! You are well on the way to making me get FS2020 fully operational. I'm being lazy and FS9 is still what I fly.

Hi Ed. Thanks for the kind words. Maybe you can be flying MSFS 2020 in 2022. That would be a worthy accomplishment. If you have the PC power and SSD/HD space, and can stay ahead of the constant upgrading of the sim, there is nothing as impressive and enjoyable as 2020. I am sure the upgrades will lessen or come to a halt sometime in the future, and we won't feel like we are beta testers. I am fortunate that I have only had two updates that stopped me in my tracks. But I was able to find a way to solve the dilemas via forums, help desks, and even a call to X-Box. Updates always provide aditional scenery and in one case 5 free aircraft. The sim upgrades are ways for Asobo Studios to solve simulator problems. So, the 2020 sim keeps getting better and better. I still use X-Plane 11 and P3D ocassionally in multiplayer sessions that require aircraft not available in 2020. Having to try to remember the controls of three sims keeps my brain working as I get older. Each of the three sims have their own benefits but I am really glad to have MSFS 2020 Cheers Steve

Southern Sweden Hops BGA Flights December 27, 2021. ESSP - ESSZ - ESSB - ESSN flying the Socata Trinidad TB21 GT in MSFS 2020 Departing ESSP (Kungsangen) off in the distance at my 5 O clock Not too far from ESSZ Someone forgot to get the mower out - maybe it was too cold - I couldn't find the grass runways so I carefully landed in a field. Here I am on a runway ready to take off from Vangso ESSZ. On my way to Stockholm Bromma (ESSB) Looks like they need to get the snow-blower on that runway at ESSB A quick livery change and a brief tour around Stockholm before heading out to the last hop of the day to ESSN Church steeples everywhere. On the ground at Norrtalje. Stopped on the runway after a good landing. OOPS guess I needed to find the off ramp and a place to park for the night. Finally time to get out and get something to eat at ESSN This is so much fun - think I will try to get some more hops in before 2021 rolls over to 2022.

Hi Steve, did the frozen grass on the runway at ESSZ require a longer takeoff run? Allen

Good question Allen. I didn't notice the end of the runway, and I don't recall flying into any trees on the way out, so I don't have an answer to your inquiry. I bet in a non virtual world all that icy grass would have had an effect on the take off run.
