Screenshot Competition
I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm, however, can we restrict the Screenshot Competition thread to your genuine and best "screenies" for the competition.
Some of the posts, whilst good, are more of a "pictorial journey". I don't want to impose a restriction on the number of submissions per Flight Leg, but at this rate, we may not sort through the entries before Christmas 09.
I have set up a separate thread for general "screenies".

Hey guys, lets help Andrew by judging our own screen shots first and then submit only one or two per Leg. I know he doesn't want to put restrictions on us, but is it fair to overwhelm him?
I for one, will submit only one per leg; and only if it is a good shot.

Apologies for the late posting of the Flight Leg 3 results. I uploaded them to the web site but on checking, couldn't even access the Bluegrass Airlines homepage.
I am assuming this could have something to do with why the results are not currently there. I will be correcting this when I get home from work today.

The results for Flight Leg 8 have been posted to the web site.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE RE PIREPS
The PIREPs for Flight Leg 8 have a higher number of errors or inconsistencies, such as: - missing PIREP for Leg 7, - reporting times that appear they should have been reported for Flight Leg 7 and, therefore, missing the PIREP for Leg 8, and - GAAR IDs who weren't reporting at all, are now reporting.
A very relaxed approach has been taken to the PIREP reporting in the interests of maintaining the "fun" element in the event and giving everyone the maximum opportunity to complete the GAAR. It also recognises that people get busy or things happen outside of their control.
However, there comes a point as to how much is acceptable without it being unfair for other participants who are adhering to the letter of the 'Rules'. It also creates additional administrative effort which I have been prepared to accept to a point.
If I was to use the Australian vernacular, "How much can a Koala bear?"
Anyone wishing to add or correct PIREP detail can provide the correct data in an email to the gaardirector email address.

Andrew, I bet there's an Australian saying that is more appropriate (and saltier) about how this "general sloppiness" (my words, not Andrew's) makes you actually feel. Come on guys, why did you bother to enter if you're not going to at least try to make the Rally an actual Rally, not just a set of fun flights?

Comrade Hoodwink,
how can you be serious about a rally flying a Cessna 172? This put-putting piece of aluminum with dito protuding unexplicably formed stubs is a non-winner from the start! Why didn't you come to Moscow and make a selection from the well catered stable of thoroughbreds from the Great Motherland? It remains to be seen if you finish the rallye at all!! Despite your promising race number your choice has not been a very clever move. Babushka has laughed her glasses off, uncle Theo thinks his top of the line bicycle (model Stavropsky) is a factor 2 faster and more economic and Proppy refuses to share his magic fuel with you.

CAPTAIN ZLOGG is that not a capitalistic SPARTAN EXECUTIVE you are touring around in, or another job like those B29s the motherland so carefully inspected an re-assembled making sure they were safe to fly ,before returning them

Comrade Snaved,
The Tupolev T-4 Bull was cunningly copied by the West like the Executive. The forgery of aeronautical history is obvious. When Petr Nikolacevich Blur raced downhill on his bike with the pants of his long coat flapping in the wind during autumn 1645 near Yekaterinenborg on his way home where his wife was awaiting him for dinner (borstj, priet with kadavro) he suddenly experienced the sensation of becoming airborne. He sailed on for 21 seconds and covered a distance of nearly 55 brat (107 m). THAT was the first time mankind took to the air.
Later the design was perfectioned (under the auspices of Czar Nikolas II) by onkel Theo's great grandfather (bicycle) and comrade Blurs ancestor (long coats) during tests from a specially constructed inclined ramp in the winterpalace (Hermitage) in Sankt Petersburg (now Leningrad).
During the Great Patriotic Motherland War we indeed inspected and re-assembled copies of the T-4 (on request of the Dark Forces) to see if there were no manufacturing errors. The only mistake observed by mr. Tupolev was the incorrect placement of the flight deck and the rear gun turret (opposite sides - one faces the enemy when attacking him). We deem it essential to rectify aeronautical history and present only true facts of the great achievements of the Great Motherland!!
