I have been finishing up a bathroom, laying tile, plumbing, the whole works. Yesterday I also painted and installed two doors on closets, so now my new upstairs no longer looks like a junky flophouse but a real room. We put in a bar up here, so it's the official hangout!
Meanwhile, Whoooweee! I haven't been flying much. Having purchased a few Carenado airplanes for FSX, so I tend to fly those when I do fire up the sim. But this afternoon, I cranked up FS9 because I haven't for several months. I have a Carenado 185 and the V35 for Fs9.
I forgot just how well FS9 runs on this computer. I average 61 fps and it's smooth as glass. In addition, I have a 3sm in haze scenario and I really got lost! I've forgotten what low viz looks like in FS. FSX just doesn't do it justice.

Wow, I'm really lax posting here.
Just thought I'd update a bit. My oldest son just graduated from boot camp in Ft Leonard Wood (KTBN if anyone wants to fly in there) as a Army National Guard Private. Proud as punch, and we got to watch his son for a few months as his wife was in another state going through a nursing program.
Had a tough winter here. Lots of snow. It even snowed in Ft Leonard Wood on May 2nd! Too weird. But the trip down there was a fun time with good food, amazing fellowship with other Army families!!! and we even toured a winery on the way home. Bought a case and a half to bring home. Heh!
I've been looking forward to the A2A Cessna 172 release, and I keep checking the RealAir website for their 172 release as well.
Lately I've been taking twin engine ops more seriously, and I plotted out a trip to Alaska in the Beech Baron, mirroring the flight outlined in last month's Flying magazine. A guy in his Globe Swift followed the Alaska highway. Pretty cool flight, but I've only made a couple of legs so far. Just too much going on.
I hope all reading this are well, healthy and happy! Tom, be careful with your heart!
