Ok. It is a very interesting aircraft. It is fun to fly along a coast. Just note that it is not an amphibian. You have to start it in the water or in the air. I use an amphibian to find a place on water to start the 314. You'll have the FD files in a few minutes.

Has anyone else seen the Red Bull Air Races? They are quite something. Small race planes fly a slalom course through pylons extending up about 60 feet from floats in a lake. The planes are generally 40 feet above the water. In some cases planes pass between pylons separated by about two wingspans. Some races are time trials flown by a single plane at a time. In other cases two planes race against each other!
It seemed extremely dangerous until I saw a plne clip a pylon with its wing tip. The pylons are thin balloons that rupture easily.
Wonder if someone could figure how to make pylons for FS.

The Water isn't so soft 2 planes have hit the water this year The Ozzie F/s 18 pilot hit the water with a wing tip and then his tale He and the plane survived and got back in the air but the plane has been sent back to the manufacturer for a full check up and he hasn't competed since In the 1st round in Perth one of the guys clipped the water with wing tip and cartwheeled in He survived but his plane didn't Sure is exciting Chris

I was in Perth for the November 2006 Red Bull races. A great spectacle for the knowledgeable aviation enthusiasts however I got the impression that the spectators who were not up with the aviation scene were getting a little bored. There is a great deal of repetition due to the maneuvering requirements for each event being very tight.
So the plebs don't pick up on the tiny gains in time here and there due to a particular pilot judging his turns a little better than the rest, or a pilot loosing a few hundreds of a second due to pulling too hard in a turn and getting a partial stall, or going too wide in a turn and losing a whisker. It is all very esoteric and while being a terrific flying display it can leave the average guy wondering if he might come again.
