cporses You are right the flight plans are stored in the normal Win location. I can go ther and see them. When I open PLan-G and want to load a saved plan the selection window comes up in the usual manner and I make my selection and hit the OK button... ERROR the file can not be found! Now what does the thing want Bud

Bud, mate,
Not sure what is happening. Are the plans saved in FS Flight plan format, dot pln (e.g. YMEN-YPID.pln). Not sure if this is changeable in Plan-g. Mine set up automatically when I loaded the program. You may just need to delete then reinstall Plan-G. We all know computers are ornery things. If you haven't seen it, the Plan-G manual is available in the Plan-G root folder in PDF format. It is pretty detailed, and should solve most problems. Cheers Bob

Yes to all the above and thanks for the advice BUT as I said Ican see the routes in the correct folders "My Documents\Flight simulator " and I have tried to change the extensions from "pln" to "pin" and back and forth. No joy. If I save a plan and try to recall it Iall I get is the error message " The file can not be found /// etc' Have to rework the plan every time I have to refly the route I know I am doing something wrong but I just can't see it

Hi Bud, MH Luke here. Something doesn't sound quite right here. you said on your post on 25 Jan. that you made your selection and hit the ok button. There is no OK button. So unless you just misspoke your in the wrong place. Your using the buttons on plan G to open the plan right. There are four buttons at the very top left corner for , new plan, open plan, save plan, and print plan. then if you click on the yellow airplane you get a drop down menu that has all the same buttons on the left and it should show a list of your flight plans, or at least your most recent ones, on the right. If you click on one of those flight plans on the right side of the list it should open up without doing anything else. If you click on the open flight plan button on the left side of the drop down window you should have another window open up with a list of all your flight plans you've saved. If you click once on one of the flight plans it should show up in the small file name window at the bottom, then if you click the open button it should open up in plan G. Alternatively you can double click on a flight plan in the list and it opens in plan G, (does it all at once). You can connect plan G and and your flight sim. when you have them both open right. So Plan G knows where your Flight sim. program is located and all. I apologize if you already know all this which I know you probably do. If your still having problems and you haven't done it yet you should probably go thru the manual as cporses suggested. Hope this helps.
An after thought..... You are trying to open Flight Plans that have been made in plan G and saved by Plan G.

Mr. Luke I will shut up. I thought that I was doing all the steps that you outlined, as I was also following the instructions in the Plan-G file. Needless to say that today I went slowly through each step in sequence and lo-and-behold it works just as advertised. I am very prone to shooting myself in the foot quite often. Thanks for setting me straight. Bud

Good deal Bud. I'm quite familiar with that process also, shooting myself in the foot!

Thanks for the info on Plan-G
When this was first posted, I was still using FSNAViator, but since then I received my new computer (Windows 7) and FSNav doesn't work.
Plan-G is a nice replacement, just have to go through the learning curve.
