Why do most airfields in Oz have whacking great trees just short of the threshold? Corryong 24 There's one at the other end as well. Refuelling at Corryong.

From about 5 nm south of the airport, it looks like YMCO is enveloped in clouds. (This was shot at 3000 ft.) But these moved off by the time I got around and ready for an approach to 18.

Hi there all together! My first impressions of this rallye 2010 are very intense and in a scenic landscape,.....breathtaking! I have made some power improvement at the engines, so my flight times are shorter, the fuel consumption higher and the weight too,...so lets see how I can handle this year.... Let me show you two pics of my wellknown "Flying Boxcar" as I round the Wilson Promontory Lighthouse ( actually my PC built it at the shore,....lol....) and the second from my shorttrip in leg 3 to the oilplatforms southern from Cape Conran a few miles ahead from YMCO.... hope my bird "takes " the mountains as well as the sea.... Thom and btw I could not resist to paint the wings with actual rallye tag and the front door with the rallyes sign......

Mallacoota - Mt. Hotham:Lifting up runway 25 in the pouring rain. Climbing to 8000 feet to stay well above the mountains. Cruising in and out of cloud. Not much looking out of the window this leg... I'm glad my NAV-stuff is all in good order! Airport dead ahead, but still bit high. ..did some S-turns and now well on final for Mount Hotham. Tssisp....Tssjjipp ! Always nice to hear these gently sounds instead of a big "THUMMPP"... ;D

Leg 2YPID to YWSL Target time 44.89, actual flight time 45.36. I flew this leg pretty much as well as I know how. 40 seconds late isnt to bad. Crosswinds enroute & on landing had a slight negative impact on my time. I forgot that I was going to capture screenies for my whole trek so the 1st 1/2 of the flight isnt shown. These shots start shortly after I made my turn at Wilson's Promitory.
