The PIREPS system is up and running and works very well, for the most part. The only trouble I had was getting out of it when I was done. Clicking on the GAAR 2010 index page is probably the best way to exit.
This is by far the best PIREP system I have seen. It will even protect us old codgers with "senior moments" from ourselves!
It is set up to make it easy to enter several numbers for several flights completed (as long as submission dates for those flights are still open). You enter your email address to log in and then your Pilot number to make entries to your log. You see the list of your entries previously submitted with the date/time of each submission. You click on a button to make new submission and get a page for it that includes a promt for the next flight to be submitted. You enter the time and click "submit."
I submitted all my flights for two aircraft and two flights for the third aircraft bringing me up to date. The only problem I had was that in a couple of cases after I clicked on "Submit" it lost that submission and brought me back to the login. I repeated the submission and it worked the next few times. After you make your submission, it should bring you back to the display of entries made so far (inluding the one you just made). I'd like to see a "Done" button on this page when you have made all entries for that session. Until that happens click on the site index page in the list to the left. I almost got into an endless loop going around and around with no exit.
I also had trouble changing planes for the third plane. It kept me in the loop for the second plane. I had to click to the index page and then come back into PIREPS to get to enter data for my third plane.
You can check your complete list of entries to date (or anyone else's for that matter). Click on PIREPS and then select Check all PIREPS for a Specific Pilot. It gives you a copy of the Roster but there is a new column on the left labeld "View PIREPS." Find your name and click on "View Pireps" and you will see your entire list of times submitted. This can be very helpful. You have no excuse for forgetting a submission or entering the wrong value (as I have done in the past).
I noticed quite a few pilots have already submitted times for several legs. We are off and flying!
