Flight 2 of the March Feature: NWA DC-4 departing Nagoya RJNN Enroute - Nagoya - Osaka Japan at 6,500' Downtown Osaka Final RJOO ILS RW 32 I'm not a big fan of the DC-4. To me it seems as if the workload if much greater than anything else I fly. Maybe by the time I finish the Japan 1953 flights I will become proficient enough to enjoy it.

The DC-4 above is the FS Design Berlin DC-3 which I got from the DC-3 Airways site. I got the NWA paint job from flightsim.com or airsim.com (get the one for the FS Design DC-4
The DC-4 below is the Jens B. Kristensen DC-4 ver 2.1 and the NWA paint job (get the one for the Jens B. Kristensen DC-4 ver 1.0 were both on avsim.com and flightsim.com
The performance is about the same, but the JBK has a primitive Sperry Auto Pilot. (I added the RKG fuel status gauge)
I actually enjoyed flying the JBK DC-4 more.

Departing Tokyo nonstop to Osaka Leveling off at 8,500' Out of the soup on short final. This is the Jens B. Kristensen DC-4 ver 2.1 I like it better than the FS Design Berlin one. Only a Sperry Autopilot - no altitude, heading, or approach hold. I used GPS once in a while to see what heading I was tracking, and how much time to my next way point.
