I have been going through the challenges doing all the Easy ones. I had to do a couple twice. There are two major benefits. One is money: $5000 for each one completed. The second is to improve my capabilities. Each one earns you some "experience points". To use these click on My Stats and then click the mouse on each row on the left. There might be enough points to increase your rating in those categories. Mine has now gone up to 50% in most categorties. My "100%" drives now go 180 yards or better quite frequently. Since we cannot turn off the wind in this version (big problem for testing), I can't be sure how much the improvement is. This is how I got to average 340 yards on drives in PGA '08.
Made a short flight in the Aero Commander 560 in RW on the 4TH. It was hot and hazy. Shot an ILS in variable visibility. Did ok.
I've been making audio CD's of my soundclick.com music. The thing is that, while the files I upload to soundclick are lelatively low quality MP3 files, The originals exist in a much higher resolutin. To put them on an audio CD I keep them at a high resolution and make them stereo. (My reverb adds a spacious stereo effect.) They sound pretty good.

I have gone back to using the Wii controller without the extension. I play better with the old one.
Tom did you ever get FS9 to work with Vista?
We are thinking about getting new computers. I can spec them out with Windows XP so I will probably go that route.

I tried the normal Wii controller and improved my swing but could not putt at all (using Precision Putt). I never tried it with Classic Putting because that has not worked for me at all.
I did not try FS9 with Vista because the little laptop on which I have Vista could not handle the graphics on FS9. It barely handles Trainz.
I would certainly get XP on any new computer if I could.

Bill, FS9 works great on Vista, no problems. I even put Windows 7 release candidate on my machine and FS9 worked fine.
All things being said and done, the best possible build would be a machine made for Vista 64 bit, but running XP 64 bit to broaden the bandwidth and address higher memory. Best performance / bloat ratio available.
Windows 7 is better than Vista. If you are in no hurry, you can get a W7 machine that will work as well as XP.

Thanks flaming. I think I will wait until Windows 7 is released.
Tom did you notice that John Deere chartered a Boeing 767 to take the golfers who are entered in the Open over to Prestwick.
Flight PCE 6854 left KMLI at 930pm CDT on Sunday and arrived in Prestwick at 02:30am GMT on Monday.
They did the same thing last year. And the aircraft also brought them back for the tournament the next week.

Today I played my third round at Turnberry. I am playing against PGA players and using the back tees. I have used easy, medium and hard pin locations. Today I used "Tournament Atmosphere thinking I might see more wind and some rain. there was just a little more wind. There was only one hole where the wind made my drive bounce short of the fairway. My scores have been-3, -7, -6 for a total of -16 which is way ahead of the guys doing it for real. I beat Colin Montgomery, Ian Poulter and Anthony Kim by several strokes. My drives are still not as long as they were in '08 but the rest of the game is coming along.

The 767 from the John Deere tournament left Prestwick EGPK last night and flew the golfers to Hamilton Ontario for the Canadian Open.
A 737 also left Prestwick EGPK and flew to KBQK Brunswick Golden Isles in Georgia.
