Ladies and Gentlemen
I am planning to fly "The around the world forerunner flight" and I was wondering if you folks would be interested in making this a joint Australian division operation. We have 17 flights around 94 hours in the air which we could alternate between interested pilots. Call it a Bluegrass Airlines Australian division promotional flight if ya wish (if thats ok with the management),or just fly it for the heck of it.
Any body interested ??
Regards Walt

As I was born a few months after my mother flew by QANTAS Connie from Calcutta to Heathrow, and then my own second flight a year later was by KLM Connie from Amsterdam to Calcutta, I should have a go at least for part of the route.
The QANTAS Connie lost an engine between Calcutta and Karachi, so perhaps I should stick to overland parts of the route. Mothers were made of sterner stuff in those days.

My one Connie flight was late 1954, Darwin to Sydney, a night haul which went with boring regularity as far as the aircraft was concerned but one of the passengers having a nasty dream fell screaming into the aisle with such a thump that there was a bod there from the flight deck in seconds flat , even beating the cabin crew by a good margin !!!
That incident aside, it was a very pleasant flight for a propellor head like myself.
Tangled up with home duties and trying to organise myself out of Mexico City for points South and East but I will try and get in some four engine time with you.
