At least a couple of entries, including my GAAR012, completed leg 10 without seeing the fireworks. A check on my setup showed that:- (1) The fireworks are correctly installed in an active scenery folder, and work at the appropriate times of day on 8th Feb 2013; (2) I'd started the flight using the correct start file with local time 17:00 on 8th Feb 2013; (3) I'd arrived at YMMB at 18:21LT on 7th Feb 2013!!!!! My best guess is that during the flight-planning stage, when I'd been moving the aircraft around to check active runways, wind directions, etc, I'd somehow changed the date. I suggest preflight checks for this leg should include checking that the date in the sim is the 8th. I think this happened once before in the GAAR, so next year if I do fireworks, I may make the displays last several days. My better half has suggested another possible source of error: GAAR012 is a Planet Satellite, which is a very "sci-fi" looking aircraft, and is painted in a shade of blue not dis-similar to an old-fashioned UK police telephone box - it may therefore be a TARDIS! ;D

H John,
No fireworks! My date was set on the 8th. I also tried the 7th and 9th without any luck.
I am using default FSX scenery.
Cheers!

I've no idea why it doesn't work in FSX - I've never managed to get FSX fully installed.
However: if I start FS9 and immediately select leg 10, it starts on the 7th: if I then reselect it, it starts on the 8th; if I start FS9 with another flight, and then select leg 10, it starts on the 8th.
Don't know why this should be, but it sounds like the old "always start with the default flight" solution.

I am using FSX as well and found the easiest way to get the fireworks to work was to actually dump the files in the AUST scenery folder instead of the addon scenery folder. It works for me every time this way and then after the GAAR I have just gone in and deleted the files.
