Sometime over the period 29 Apr 13 to 29 May 13, the Forum software will be upgraded to ProBoards Ver. 5. The most obvious change will be a new, modern look and feel, similar to other forums. The upgrade will also provide enhanced capabilities, but I dare say the majority of us will not explore these enhancements
The Forum structure, however, will remain the same and so you shouldn't have any problems finding your favourite topics and threads.
I have taken some small liberties in changing the old "FS2004" and "BGA" category and board titles to "Flight Simulators, FS Blogs, General & Other" and "Bluegrass Airlines" respectively, to more accurately reflect the content and then reordered the categories with the "Bluegrass Airlines" category at the top. The thread and post structure under these titles remains the same so I hope this is not too confusing.
Cheers Andrew

Sounds good Andrew, the scene had evolved into something of a mess. Ed

Lou, Two of the most practical enhancements include the ability to embed YouTube videos within a post and uploading files to posts. With the video capability, this means you can view the video within the Forum environment. The new version also allows for an extra level within the boards. This will mean the current sub-boards and topics can be organised and grouped better and will allow a more logical structure. An example would be to group all the various current GAAR sub-boards as sub-sub-boards under a generic GAAR sub-board heading. Other enhanced capabilities relate to the administrator functions. From a user perspective, these include having colour themes, thus providing a better look and feel for the Forum. I'm still yet to get my head around all the features, but if you want a more comprehensive summary, go to the ProBoards web site at the link below. proboards.com/free-forum-featuresCheers Andrew

As you will have noticed, the Forum update originally advised for May was finally executed today. Now to get my head around the admin of this new format.

Andrew, From the home screen I used to click on Bluegrass Airlines. At the bottom of the page, under the list of sub-boards was a list of links (favorites?) that included FlightSim, AvSim, Cal Classics, DC-3 Airlines, etc. Not a big deal but it was convenient. Allen
