"Isn't technology wonderful."
First time I ever flew was in a DC3 from somewhere in Texas to Albuquerque. Must have been 3 or 4. Watched technology from there up to now. Amazing- great time to live. Remember the heavy, black dial telephones? Wow!

My first flight in a DC-3 was at about the same age from Calcutta up to Shillong. That was actually my third flight, the first was I believe from Glasgow to Schipol in a Convair 340, and then from Schipol to Calcutta in a Lockheed Constellation at one year old.
Sadly I remember little about any of them!

First an last flight in DC-3 was from Houston to Ft. Polk on Trans Texas Airways in 1967. Was a great flight an still remember having to hold fire at the rifle range when the DC-3 would Land and depart over the back of the range.
