Landing at AYMH, Flight 8. The runway at AYMH is in a depression in FSX Steve, if you have a screen shot of AYMH I would like to see if the runway is in a depression in your sim. Also, on flight 10 check out Yam Island. In FSX the runway splits the mountain and ends at a cliff. How about your sim? Allen

Hi Allen I have just flown Legs 7 & 8 and have pictures for you regarding AYMH. When I complete Leg 10 I will advise and show about Yam Island. I am fortunate and blessed to have and fly 2 sims. I was not able to re-load FSX on my Windows 10 computer after an update so I was forced to get something newer. The first two screenshots are in Lockheed Martin P3D, and the last two are from X-Plane 11. No depressions on either one. X-Plane 11 in a Cessna 182 Cheers Steve

Hi Steve, Thanks for the screenies. I expected that there would be no depression. When flying leg 8 back in March '19 I saw screen shots of AYMH that showed no depression but I never knew what sims were used. I expect Yam Island to show a nice little island with a runway down the middle, no mountain. I also have X-plane 11 but my computer at that time could barely get 20 fps with all the sliders down. Last fall I got a newer mother board with 8 Gig RAM and a 6 core CPU (not the I series). Now I can get 22-25 fps in the Cessna as long as I don't fly in a "busy" area like Seattle. The scenery at AYMH looks a lot like your screen shot. So maybe I'll have to learn how to fly X-plane again. Allen

This is how AYMH looks in my X-plane 11. I'm getting 25 fps. What fps do you get in your sims? Allen

I decided to fly the Cessna from AYDU to Yam Island and walla, no mountain or cliff! FSX just gives an extra challenge. I was getting 30 fps over the ocean, which is about the best I can get. Allen

Hi Steve, My "newer" motherboard has an AMD Phenom II x6 processor 2.81 Ghz 8 GB RAM Radeon Rx 460 graphics with 4GB memory Not nearly the horse power as yours but will run the Cessna 172 and freeware Aztec E and Super cub at ~25 fps. I'm currently flying the Aztec on GAAR 2019 leg 2, learning how to fly X-plane. When not flying Rallys I fly around rural ID, WA, MT and OR. I just finished flying the Super cub from KLWS thru Hells Canyon on the Snake at 500-700 feet AGL to McCall. Great flight. Allen

Hi Allen Last Sunday afternoon I was multi-player flying with some sim friends in Montana, and one of those friends is our boss Allan Lowson. Allan advised we were flying near your home. You definitely live in a beautiful part of the US. In case you need something to do Sunday afternoons you are welcome to join us (2 from UK and 2 - 3 from US). For more info see worldflight.proboards.comI can see why you spend time flying in ID, WA, MT and OR. I spent some time flying from KPDX Portland on the Columbia River headed to the Pacific ocean, to KAST, in X-Plane 11 with ORBX True earth scenery. Very scenic and enjoyable I am posting a few screenies from my DHC-1 Chipmunk. Cheers Steve
