The Scottish Highlands is a hoplist from Bluegrass Airlines, from 2017. I don't know how long it will take to make this journey but I will try to complete it in British Aircraft, and British Commonwealth aircraft. Our journey will be in X-Plane 11 using ORBX True Earth airport and country scenery. This is journey 3 from EGPF Glasgow to EGPK Prestwick, and then on to EGEC Campbeltown (Macrihanish Air base) after a change of aircraft. Departing Glasgow in a DH82 Tigermoth The first leg of this journey was of special interest to me because I made the trip between Prestwick and Glasgow with my son, by train. We flew from London to Prestwick and rode the train to Glasgow where we checked into our hotel, met Allan Lowson (of Bluegrass Airlines) and his son, for dinner. The next morning my son and I took an all day bus trip in the Scottish Highlands. Our introduction to Scotland was unforgettable in that we passed through continuous golf courses on our follow the coastline train ride from Prestwick into Glasgow. I was hoping to see lots of golf courses in my ORBX True Earth scenery. And I did. Check out these screenshots. Coastline, Rail line, and golf courses below Following the rail line and golf courses to Prestwick, and lining up for landing.... Departing Prestwick in a DHC-6 300 Twin Otter Briefly above the clouds crossing the Firth of Clyde and Isle of Arran. Descending from the clouds to EGEC Campbeltown The Isle of Arran behind and EGEC ahead Final to EGEC Not much activity at this airport - seems somewhat remote. Next on the agenda will be Islay, Glenforsa and Tiree Cheers
