I'm trying to create a gauge to show fuel qty. It works--sort of--but has two errors in it. It should be indicating 14,725 lb. of fuel. It shows a leading zero, even though I am specifying !6! digits and not !06! digits. Why does it show just half of the leading zero?? Why is there a space between the "0" and "1"?? Why can't I read out the last digit (i.e. "2")?? Attached are the bitmap and XML files. (The white corner pixels are there to mark the defined readout window within the bitmap.) Any help or suggestions will be appreciated! Regards, Cam Attachments:

Didn't you also define the width allowed for the digits? Make sure it is wide enough. You set the size ("85") in pixels per digit, width and height. I often allowed for an extra digit. You might want to set the number from the right, rather than center.

Hi Cam I think you have a parens mismatch in your fuel pounds statement. You have 2 left and 3 right parens. I think it should be .... <string>%((A: fuel tank left main quantity, gallons) 6.7*)%!6d!</string Allen

Alan:
You were right!
It's amazing the strange results one gets with one wrong character in a line of code.
This is a reminder for me to take a deep breath and check the code character by character before asking for help.
I know Tom has created a lot of digital gauges to read out flight parameters to better analyze how FS is simulating aerodynamics. Although I really love creating analog ("steam gauge") panels, I like the additional info that you get from a few compact digital readouts.
Thanks again! Cam
