www.seattlepi.com/news/us/article/Small-jet-crash-kills-5-in-eastern-Georgia-4296209.phpA Hawker/Beechcraft Premier overshot the runway after unsuccessfully aborting a landing at an airport near Augusta, GA. It struck a utility pole and burst into flames. Two survived though one is in critical condition and the condition of the other is unknown. "The pilots had sent an electronic message to close out their flight plan before the jet overshot the runway — a sign that they began their landing approach without problems, Bounds said. Skies in the area were clear Wednesday night with light wind, he said. There was no damage or other physical signs that the jet ever touched down on the runway, Bounds said. The plane crossed a five-lane state highway near Interstate 20 before it struck the utility pole about a quarter-mile from the end of the runway."

www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/morning_call/2013/02/5-killed-in-thomson-ga-plane-crash.htmlThis is a little confusing, but it looks like the pilot and co-pilot(?)* were the survivors. Also the "utility pole" the airplane's wing struck was 60' high and made of concrete. *The story says "crew member." He was a senior pilot but it's unclear whether he was a co-pilot here or possible PIC. My recollection is that the Premier is one of the littler, simpler bizjets that doesn't require a co-pilot.
