I have switched back to FS9 from FSX.
The FS9 Real Weather isn't downloading anything interesting.
Fortunately Tom Goodrick had mentioned several years ago that we should save weather files.
So I have saved flights for every month from August 2009 through July 2010.
If anyone wants them I can zip them up for you. They all start with the default C172SP. Then you change the aircraft, airport, payload and fuel and the date and time.
Those of you using FSX should consider saving flights as FSX RW may be disappearing in the future.
P.S. I have FS9 maxed out and I am using FS Genesis 153m ground texture for North America which cost me $9.95. It looks pretty good.
I had to buy a new FS9 as I had recycled my old one to a relative. I found it on amazon.com for $14.64

Did you ever think about buying Active Sky. Whole world better than the fs RWx. Don't know the coat, nor the newer version. lr.

I have also switched back to FS9. No problems with the weather. Using Active Sky 6.5 along with the clouds by Pablo Diaz. Looks amazing!
