I'm off to a little cottage in the woods in Sweden for a few days. No internet, so if I don't reply to anyone's suggestions for next year, I'm not being rude. Back on line 26th.

Sounds like the perfect getaway. Hope you have an enjoyable break.
Next year how about the de Havilland Heron (with or without flappy wheels) or the Percival Q6. For FSX there's also the Airspeed Ambassador.

HiGuys-
I am unable to see any GAAR results after Leg 4. Has Leg 5 or 6 been posted? I tried refreshing, etc. with no luck.

Andrew has mentioned that he has had internet issues. If you can imagine the workload when the pireps are coming through at regular intervals, having bunches held back by t'internet just makes it even worse.
So just keep putting them in and they will ultimately get processed.
There is a craze for permutations of a war time poster "Keep Calm and Carry On". Round here it is "Dinnae Fash Yersel and Keep the Heid"

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the delay in posting the recent results. I have had intermittent power outages here and each time it knocks out the internet for a day or so - just don't ask. I then had family commitments with my son's wedding from Thursday through the weekend.
The good news is, I am back, feet under the desk and desperately playing catch-up. I should have updated results for the earlier Flight Legs up by tomorrow and be all up to date by the day after at the latest.
I still haven't worked out how to prevent the real world from interfering in this obsession.
Cheers Andrew

Sorry - didn't mean to sound over anxious, was just wondering "out loud" .... trust the wedding went well, and family ALWAYS trumps everything. Many thanks for YOUR time in putting this all together, IT IS appreciated very much! Take your time, no rush!

I can also understand the anticipation of wanting to see the results. By the way, the results page has now been updated. Cheers Andrew

Can I ask again if anyone knows how to get FS9 running in Windows 8. I've posted on the main Bluegrass forum, but no joy there. I've tried loading it onto drive D, my second HD, but still the same problem. There has to be a solution somewhere, but I'm darned if I can find it. FSX is all very well, but I've got a lot of modded aircraft in FS9. On a related theme, my version of FSX doesn't load the Goose for some reason. It was the same on the old computer, so dunno. Since it's a default, there aren't many third-party Geese (Gooses?) around, but I'll try to translate the one I have in FS9.

Hi rattler. Welcome back to UK sogginess from crisp and dry Sweden???
Not sure about this 'cos I kept my fs9 on older Vista which was 32-bit. Is it a problem with your Win8 presumably being 64-bit? I have certainly had other older applications (photo, graphics and similar) which positively would not work on a 64-bit OS. But I have brought across older aircraft into FSX as have you.

Thanks to Andrew for another fascinating tour in a corner of Oz I haven't flown round before. A huge amount of work not helped by internet issues!

Thank you Andrew for all the work in making the GAAR 2014 an excellent adventure.
Thanks also to everyone who took part in the Rally. It wouldn't be much fun if only a few showed up.

Thanks Andrew for another great GAAR. Night time landings on a poorly or non-lighted runways in a crosswind - Whew!
