Okay thanks David, but what is it using as a data base ? Rob I do not know. I think it says the aircraft CFG.file and FSX flight plan files.

That sounds like it could be correct, so you actually make your flight plans using the FSX flight planner.
With the PMDG Boeing FMC you do not use the sim flight planner, they come with a Jeppeson real world data base.
Real world data base is updated every 28 days, therefore 13 times per year. To update the Boeing or Airbus Nav data you go to Navigraph and download the latest data, the current being 1801, this then installs into your FMC, then you have real world data same as the Airlines are using.
Cheers Rob

Think I finally wore out my controller. After 8 years of falling of desk/coffie spills/CFS combat,it is acting up. Unplugged force feed back power-decreasd control surface sensitivities- increased nulls-switched realisum settings to easy. It will pitch-roll-yaw, wildly the minute you break ground after wandering down the runway. tried everything from J-3 CUB , Cessna 172,DC-3 C-130 ,A-10 They settle down with autopilot but turn it off and WATCH OUT it never rolls/pitches/yaws the same way twice! Tried calibration and every time I have to reset all the button functions. Even tried different plug-in USB ports. Guees those POTS can take only so much abuse.

Just downloaded the FSX version of the Basler_BT67 . Taken it for a few turns around the Pattern , what a lift for the DC-3 air frame. I do not think the DC-3 will never stop flying.

I have to much time. Found a simple program to add weapons to FSX Flt.Plans. NOW nothing is safe! Scratch one wind sock and Helipad Test fire

GAAR2018 Flights are under way,as for myself I again find I sent in too SLOW of a test flight time, and stretching out my landing patterns an roll outs trying to get down on time. I was looking forward to more entries with the addition of turbo charged and turbo prop aircraft allowed, but the roster is not growing very fast. There is still time. Would hate to see all those supplies JazzTom an Uhug are hauling around go to waste.....

Now that I am flying GAAR2018 , I like the extra weather added to the flights. A little turbulance , and lightning keeps me a wake! Not to mention the hills hidden in clouds.

I try to post a jepeg attachment and "ERROR:THIS FORUM HAS EXCEEDED IT"S ATTACHMENT SPACE LIMIT. YOUR FILE CANNOT BE UPLOADED." in BIG RED LETTERS . One way to stop me from sending so many. I just want members to try the Mutley's Hangar, MEBAR 2018 Easter Rally . It may be a little late to enter but if you can still enter the flight descriptions/Flights for your SIM. you will find the navigation and flight planing skills needed a good exercise as the 5 legs are flown to way points from plotting inbound an outbound radials of VOR's AN NDBS . I scored awful, but I improved each leg as I learned how to use a map an not rely on the FSX flight planer to do the work for me. The Norway scenery is not to bad either.

Just in after a break down south seeing family. I've not seen that error message before. Perhaps you could try putting the images on a site like imgur.com and then putting the image link in your post. That should work.
Cheers, Allan

Cheers, Allan I think it might have something to do with my computer is 10+ years old , operating on windows 7, and a memory capacity less than my nephews cell phone or what ever they call those things they stare at or talk at. I'll see what I can do ,but me making internet stuff changes is an adventure!

Downloaded and just test flew the latest Simaviation free FSX/P3D lockheed electra , American AIr lines paint, from Detroit to Lincon Nebraska . real weather. What a jump in performance from the DC-6B I am used to. Many cockpit views to go through I sometimes got lost while trying to switch air frame, pitot heat, lights, auto feather. Some bleed through around some qauges in virtual cockpit. climbed to 16000FT with power set at edge of low edge of yellow at 1800Fpm till 12000Ft then dropped to 1500Fpm to maintain 250 Mph. Cruised a 300 Mph at a little less than 1/2 throttle at 3/4 throttle was pushing the barber pole. You have to switch from one cockpit view to others to work the Aoto pilot , just shut it off and flew a hands of Ifr/Gps approch once slowed down to 160 Knts was a very stable platform with good views through Virtual Cockpit windows, and with only 3 miles visibility was able to come out over the approch lights , revers props worked . Do not like the engine sound loop , it goes from low to high to low not really following throttle settings(drive you crazy) I like the paint an outside views , flys well , going to see if I can use a C130 sound file and fiqure out the cockpit views I can get rid off for FSX (panels may work for P3D).

Just finished the 4Th section of the United States Capitals Tour . it is a great tour ,if just to recall the names of the state capitals(used to have to know them for history class) and state locations. I change aircraft every flight. legs over 300 miles, Jet or turbo props of +200 MPH cruise; 100 to 300 miles , twins or single turbo's; less than 200 , single engine. This allows me to fly most the legs around 1 hour, some I had to choose based on runway length , and thrust reverse ability. one leg I just wanted to fly the DC-6 again. Leg 5 I will be going to my home Turf , Michigan, since I fly real weather,it will be spring so I'll be packing Skis ,snow shoes, sun block , and swim suit, you can have all four seasons in one day up here. Today it is 80 deg. thunder storms, then Saturday freezing rain/ Snow.
