Ok, my latest fun is using the Cessna 208B for short cargo hops around the fjords of southern Norway. Soon, I plan to move my operation to Canada's Northwest Territories. Specifically, those areas above the Arctic Circle. I set "Winter Wonderland" as the weather theme, and set the date for winter. Then off I go, into the falling snow, trying to clear the mountains. And find the runways. The GPS is invaluable. Very exciting!

Okay now that sounds interesting. We did a Norway fling a while back and just flying the fjords was a blast. To have a real mission would be fun, fun, fun. I haven't done much snow flying at all. I might have to visit the great white north. I haven't done much in Canada either.

One other mission I'm doing is one of the ones that came with FS9. It's called "Reeve Aleutian Airways" or something like that. You fly an actual mission from 1948 taking personnel and supplies to the outer Aleutian Islands of Alaska. The sim provides you with all the mission details and flight itinerary. Instead of using the DC-3, I'm using the Cessna 208B. Great fun flying with a compass and following the directions. (Actually, I use the GPS with no route specified because it will show you ground track based on wind and that's important for staying on course).
