Hawaii Hoplist from BGA Departing HI25 Kaalaiki Airstrip on the Big Island, Hawaii  This is a Husky by Aviat. Have just flown over lava flows from one of the four volcanoes on the big island   The first hop is complete, at Mountain View Airstrip - HI23.  I will try to get at least one more hop before the end of the year. |

Hawaii Hoplist from BGA HI23 - HI32 - HI27 - PHMU Departing HI23 Mountain View Airstrip  Grass/Dirt runway HI32 (Pepeekeo Airstrip). Last minute check before rolling   Ready to take off at HI27 (Upper Paauilo Airstrip) Another grass airstrip, rolling downhill toward the Pacific Ocean   Lots of gullies or washes from the volcano to the ocean  Destination PHMU (Waimea-Kohala)   Until next time.... |

Continuing the BGA Hoplist of Hawaii Flying a Beech D118-S From PHMU to HI13 to PHKO to PHUP   At HI13 Puu Waa Waa Ranch  Left Traffic at PHKO Kona Intl at Keahole  This area of the Big Island is covered with many small craters and cones  The runway for PHUP Upolu is on the other side of the wind turbines - so close to the airport.  On the ground at PHUP - turbines on the right and ocean on the left.  Until next year. 2023 |
