This morning I woke up dreaming I was to fly some famous lady to Minnesota?! In my dream I was a Cessna Caravan pilot, and she sought me out to return her as her regular pilot was unable for some reason. ;D
So, I fired up the sim, picked the Falls International airport as a destination, but since there was no "famous lady" I loaded up everyone in my family. We all fit, plus full fuel into the Caravan, great!
Unfortunately, this was in FSX ... Something has been not working and about twenty minutes into the flight, my computer merely turns the sim off! No apparent reason.
So, I fired up FS9 and tried it again. But after a beautiful flight, I descended into a hazy cloudy environment, which I normally can get 10-15 FPS but I was down to 2.5 to 5 FPS. Nearly impossible to fly smoothly, and I landed short and right of the runway but safely.
I shut off the sim and checked the task manager, I'm using 47% of my system memory doing nothing, and services that are off still suck up CPU time.
Wow. Looks like Vista is going to have a short life on my computer. I'm going to see if I can find an XP for cheap on Ebay or something. Looks like a software rebuild is in my future!

I have dreamed of getting rid of Vista and getting XP. There have been so many things happening recently with Vista it is just a big joke now. I have absolutely no respect left for Microsoft. I may just give this to my wife so that, in a few months, I can buy a Mac.
I have just spent 5 hours downloading a "vital" upgrade for Adobe. It was 46.7 Mb. I had to stay at the computer clicking the virtual mouse to keep the download going. I also had to tell the ISP not to kick me off (it did several times.)
Where did you find an unzip file? I tried transferring some dat that was zipped before saving on a CD. I cnnot find anything to unzip it with. I downloaded a new copy of FreeZip but can;t get Vista to let me install it.
I have just about given up trying to find a way to load my camcorder videos into the computer. That task took 5 minutes with my old computer.
Now my cordless optical mouse for my old computer is not working. There is just no end of fun with these computers.

I just right click to open zipped files. I don't open an unzip file. When I download something, I right-click the item in the download window and it opens everything up.
