A Screenshot Competition will be run in conjunction with the GAAR 2009. Prizes donated by sponsors will be awarded as part of the competition.
Entries are to be submitted in 800 x 600 format and posted to this Screenshot Competition thread and are to include your GAAR ID. An independent Judging Panel will adjudge a winner and runner-up in the competition.
The Judges decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.

Hi Andrew, just wondering, are we to post ALL our GAAR screenies here, or just the ones we think can compete in the competition? cheers, Paul.

I use a website called "ImageShack" for uploading pics. It's easy: go to imageshack.us/and go to 'help' and "FAQ" section. It is explained there how to upload screenies and paste them into forums like this. Hope this helps. Paul

Is it official that we need to have an Imageshack account (for example) to post screenies here? Will there be a way to post directly from our computers? I really am not interested in setting up an account at Imageshack (or anywhere else either) just to be able to post a few screenies.

All,
As an alternative to posting your screenshots for the GAAR 2009 Screenshot Competition here, you can attach them to an email titled GAAR 2009 Screenshot Competition and send it to me at gaardirector(at)hotmail.com
Here at GAAR "Management Central" and Bluegrass Airlines, we can cater for nearly everyones requirements. I would make that an unqualified "everyone" statement, but then someone could possibly abuse it.

Thanks Andrew, that sure is simpler--at least for me.

Are we allowed to manipulate our images in Photoshop etc. or do they have to be "clean" shots?

Are we allowed to manipulate our images in Photoshop etc. or do they have to be "clean" shots? Katie, To be fair to those without such tools and skills, screenshots should be "clean". What the Judging Panel will be looking for are all the good things that make a good "photo": subject, framing, perspective, background, lighting (in this case, sunlight), etc. Please also see the PM I have sent you.
