Ben, you are right, it is on the original 2-d panel. I have made new panel with a modified .bmp for my Apache, you can see it in one of the early GAAR screenies and it doesn't show ice. I was just using Real Weather, updating every 15 minutes, flying over Java at the time. I was not in the clouds during the flight, but there does seem to be some haze. I'll double check the temp gauge, also. It looks there are some clouds ahead a ways, I'll keep you posted.

Chris, if that was in the situation in Chicago that I sent out, the ice starts at 2,000 ft which is the cloud bottom. The temp is just coincidence in that case.

Well, if I had taken the time to read Bill Lyon's read me file I would have seen "Icing will occur in winter above 5000 AGL. Use the DE-ICE switch and it will melt in about 8 seconds." That switch is located on the 3-d panel by the fuel gauges. I have added the switch to my panel.
