Hope this is the right forum!! Found this plane as recommended in the KLM monthly special part of BGA, but have some questions about it. Kristensen says the original gauge in the center was replaced by an airspeed indicator, but there is no airspeed indicator. What did I miss? Also, there is an ADF, well, I guess now they call it an NDB. Anyhow, can't get it to work for nuthin. Can you help me here? I set and check the band freq, but no joy. Any suggestions for another similar a/c? Thanks, lou"wake me at the marker"ross.

Lou,
Somehow missed your post, anyway welcome aboard!
The comment in Jens FVIIb manual about installing an airspeed indicator is actually referring to the other two models of the FVIIb which he has made. One is for PanAm and the other is the licence built Avro Ten.
The KLM plane has the ‘Controleur de Vol’ gauge instead.
And of course - just like when you take your car in to the shop it stops rattling - I can't reproduce you problem with the ADF radio. It is lifted - apart from the pointer needle bottom left - straight from the Lockheed Vega.
Just a thought, have you switched the waveband by mistake? Being an engineer I tend to play with all the switches until things start or usually stop working myself. Then I look at the manual.

Thanks for your response, Allan. Finally got the ADF to work- it was a matter of getting the tuner to the exact point and waiting quick second for the needle to swing. Appreciate your other comments about the FIIb! lr.
