I just sent three emails to register for the GAAR 2010. All were instantly returned with this message:
The original message was received at Fri, 15 Jan 2010 21:18:26 -0600 (CST) from tnt6-216-180-4-118.dialup.hiwaay.net [216.180.4.118]
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- <gaardirector@hotwire.com> (reason: 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected gaardirector@hotwire.com)
----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to mx1b.expedia.com.: >>> RCPT To:<gaardirector@hotwire.com> <<< 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected gaardirector@hotwire.com 550 5.1.1 <gaardirector@hotwire.com>... User unknown
Is the problem on your end or mine?
[Edit:]
I suspect it was bounced by an antispam system somewhere along the line. I sent out three emails in rapid succession with the same subject. That's a "No No" some places. Only two of the three were bounced. So I just sent out the second and third again with different subject lines.

Hey Tom, just read about your email rejection. Now I think you have used the wrong email address. From the web registration page please see:
"submit an email to gaardirector(at)hotmail.com (substitute @ for (at) in the email address)" Cheers, Les

But I did exactly that:
<gaardirector@hotwire.com>... User unknown
After I changed the subject, adding a #2 to the second email (forgot to do that change to the third) I have not gotten any rejects in the two re-submitted emails.
[Edit:] It worked! The Roster is now posted and I am #59 (my first submission) and #61 and #62 with my second and third submissions. Ed Wells managed to sneak in with his #60 while I was working this out. The problem was indeed the antispam filter some place along the line. There is nothing wrong with the address.

No problem, Ed. I was just irked at the "system" for bouncing my 2nd and 3rd emails for no good reason.

One question (and sorry for my low english level), how much time does the registration process get? Cause I had send yesterday the email. Thanks and regards! Alex Clares SUR2195

I'd be patient and wait another day before submitting a second registration. Andrew is a bit busy. If you did not get a return of your email as I did, you can be sure it went through okay. But Andrew may need to wait a day or two in order to get more registrations before updating the Roster. There is still plenty of time so I would not worry.
Welcome to the GAAR.
