Bill/Andrew,
Bit late but I registered for the GAAR 2010 around 17:00z last night by email with the required information for the Pilot Registration which is within the deadline (28th JAN - 23:59z)
Not had an email yet but I assume that will sort itself out (see that 114 is the current last registrant).
Just want to draw your attention to it and let me know if I got in ok. Obviously I will need to send in PIREPS sometime soon.
Thanks for organising this again.
Lee James British Airways Virtual
p.s. - last year (GAAR 2009) I got the Gold award but did not get a certificate. Was wondering who did them so I could get one? I proudly hang them on my wall as I consider participating in the GAAR the premier event in FS! thanks

Hi Lee,
Andrew could tell you, I am just a participant this year, so I don't know.
Best Regards!

Lee,
Relax. Your registration has been received and accepted and we have allowed you to join us again for the GAAR. You will appear on the Roster later today, Aus, local time.
I note that you were having exactly the same problem I was at YPID with VOZ regions activated. The problem appears to only happen at YPID with third party add-on aircraft and the only solution is to "un-VOZ".
On the certificate issue, as the "Awards" web page said at the time, "The sending of the virtual award certificates will not be automatic. Participants who wish to receive this memento will need to send a brief email stating the name they wish to have on the certificate." I checked the email archive and don't seem to have received an email from you requesting the certificate. When I get a moment, I will create and email your GAAR 2009 certificate.

Andrew,
What can I say? Hows that for service! Awesome! Thank you kind sir!
Ok, I had this happen with the MAAM-SIM DC-3 so I then shutdown FS9 and relaoded the same situation with the default Cessna - could not even get going! So I UnVozzed and still in the Cessna, tried again - stiil the same problem.
Next, I re-Vozzed but tried the SW region instead of the SE region I had been using, still using default FS9 Cennsa. Same problem.
So, I then UnVozzed and disabled VOX completely. I then attempted a takeoff from YPID and managed to fly around the circuit with no problems. The runway at YPID is not much though - and I now have GE Pro and Ultimate Terrain along with FSGenesis mesh enabled. However, the view from above for most of the flight out of YMEM looks remarkably similar to the VOZ effort. Good work by GE Pro! I have now tried out all of this years GAAR airports in VOZ - and only YPID gives problems.
Thank you Andrew. I was not aware that it was an "on request" thing. My mistake. But it will be nice to have it.
Again, thanks for your timely posting here.
kind regards,
