I could not submit a PIREP for Leg7 on time (19 Feb) but I flew it anyway today, hoping I could submit a delayed PIREP, but unfortunately I'm out of luck. Apparently the rules say I am tagged as 'withdrawn' so I regret I will not be able to finish the rally. I think one should be able to at least submit subsequent PIREPs if able to file the remainder on time. I'm disappointed - it was a good rally and I enjoyed it. Regards, Barry

Barry,
First of all, as an Australian, we don't care too much for rules, it comes from our convict heritage.
Secondly, and on the basis of the first point, the rules should be seen more as guidelines, but you can't run an event like this without having some deadlines, otherwise it would never finish.
Thirdly, you don't get what you don't ask for, which is why the NOTAMS page states, ".....can no longer be submitted via the PIREP system. Anyone wanting to file a PIREP for Flight Leg 7 should send an email to gaardirector(at)hotmail.com"
Finally, my aim is to give everybody as much opportunity to complete the GAAR, so help me help you by sending me an email or Forum post that provides me your GAAR ID and Flight Leg 7 time.
