Because of my email change, I had to rejoin FlightAware today. So I spent some time studying it. I often look there for ideas of what airplane to fly where.
Now you can display any flight on an Aeronautical Sectional background. That way you can make a little more sense of the route. On a long lfight the display is not much help showing the entire flight. The "Classic" background is better for that. But while tracking a flight with the sectional background, you can zoom in on the current location and read the data on the sectional.
