Hello, I thought I would post something on your forum and check on my membership application. I filled out the online request about a month ago, and never heard anything back. I would still like to join up with you guys. It looks like a fun VA. I’ve flown with Pappy before over at Virtual Air Guard (I’m still ANG619). I really enjoy doing “bush flying” even in the lower 48, often re-flying in FS9 trips that I’ve driven, or flown, or would like to fly. I’m based out of KTCL Tuscaloosa AL (in the real and virtual world), and generally fly in the southeastern US. If one of your administrators would send me a private message, I will send you all the application info. I will check back on this forum every day or so for a reply.
Hope to join you soon. KC from TCL Westridge Aviation

Hello KC, I am just down the road from you in Cantonment, Fl. I will ask Bill Von Sennet if he got your app. We always welcome new folks at Bluegrass. You should be hearing from someone real soon.

Westridge please resubmit you application.
I haven't received it.
There were a few days about a month ago when the company email's were not getting through.
Sorry

I got your reply and resubmitted the online app. Thanks for the quick turnaround.
Also... I was browsing the website... I really like it that you can review all the pireps for the month on one page. That's a great feature. I like to read where people are flying.

KC, if that is you in your avatar picture, I notice that you are holding a mandolin. I play the guitar, both country and bluegrass. D'ont play very much anymore, but really love to jam with a good band.

Yep, that is me and my Kentucky KM-630 mandolin (My Gibson is on budget hold... they're ridiculous!) I've played mostly guitar with an "acoustic gospel" (not quite bluegrass) band called "Eagles Wings" for a few years now.
EaglesWingsBand.com
We recently got another musician (my bro-in-law) who is way better on guitar that me, so I went full time mandolin (still learning, but I really enjoy it). We have a "gig" Sunday afternoon in northern Alabama that I will probably fly the route as my first BGA flight.

I know what you mean about cost of some of those instruments. I have been wanting a big Martin guitar for years but just don't want pay what they want for one.
