;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D This is the model that displays the new way to built FS9 aircraft to include VERY small details, lots and lots of details, and not really affect frame rates. It's a miracle for FS9. ! It's at Simviation.com and Avsim. MUST HAVE aircraft! Here's a blog post about it: simflight.com/2011/02/02/boeing-stearman-by-proptrash-a-new-record-for-fs2004-models/I've been waiting for this for weeks. Even though I haven't been doing much flying lately, I was excited to see it finished.

Uh, oops. I took it for a quick test ride right before bed. I am not proficient in driving the tail-draggers, and I promptly pushed the prop into the runway. It bent! It's modeled in to bend.
The real actual rotating beacon was fun to just sit and watch also. One can, with the engine off, open the maintenance logbook by pushing shift+7 and remove the panels and air filter for a better look inside the frame. Wish I had more time this morning, I'd give it another go.

This would have been a great GAAR airplane. I'm looking forward to some repaints to show up.

I thought that my MAAM planes had the best detail. I was WRONG. This plane has really raised the bar. It is truly magnificent. Sure makes some other planes look pretty crumby by comparison. No there is no comparison this is the best. Flame you said that this was a new way to build FS9 aircraft, are there any others in the works?? Who is the author and where is it produced?? I hope that it will fly as well as it looks. Bud

You know Bud, I barely know what is going on. I found this being discussed on another forum, followed the link to the blog post, and another link there to a developer's website blog.
I don't really understand the discussion all that well, as I don't build airplanes, and don't have the software they use that they're tricking into doing this magic. I think they're tricking GMax into this black magic.
