Not really "News", but... My wife is quite a great person in many ways- like most wives, I suppose. However, I would like to see her raise her ability to speak well. I'm thinking an effective way to do that is thru literature. The problem is good literature. I could name many great books, or people who were great speakers. But a clasiscal book does not necessarily mean the diaglogs are "high culture". I think of people like Eisenhower, Kennedy, Kissinger. I've read a good deal of Konrad, Maugham, but do their characters actually speak well? What books, or authors would you recommend? lou.
