I don't know if I'm the only one who cannot now get access to the forum at DCA, but in case I'm not and you don't read screens either (!) don't forget to put pireps in to the new email address on the DCA front page.
I put my sixth and seventh in to the old address and the sixth one is showing up in the flight listing, so hopefully that change has only gone up since I put them both in.

Thanks for that info. As I'm away from this afternoon on business and a chunk of next week as well, I tried to fly WR09 in FS9 but following the 349M leg out from KAPK took me way off to the west of the end airfield. A quick look at a direct nav from KAKP via PYC indicates a route of 017M to PYC.
There doesn't seem to be any notification on the NOTAMS from the front page of DCA, is there anything in the forums?
Whether I can find time when I get back later this week to re-fly the route by the target date is a moot point anyway, but I would like to get the flights in.

The FSX instructions say to fly the 356* outbound leg from AKP. Don't know if this will help. I'll be flying WR09 this evening.

Thanks Chris, that was the clue that I needed. It seems that an add-on scenery folder caused the compass to switch from magnetic to true, or more accurately lose the magnetic deviation. I disabled all my add-on scenery and it has now reverted to the correct readings. Now I just have to re-fly the flight before tomorrow night.
Then the haul back through re-adding the add-ons, or currently add-offs, until I find which one is the culprit. Suggestions that I have seen include something transferred up from fs2002, or corrupted RWY12 files. The latter is not the cause on this occasion, as I have reloaded a folder that I am sure includes them.
One side-effect is likely to be that any features created since the problem occurred will be showing true rather than magnetic. Spot the deliberate mistake.......

Right - flight 9 accomplished with about 20 minutes to spare. If work didn't pay the bills I would give up on the interference with more important issues in life. I finally managed to track down, with some assistance from my son in shuffling files back and forth, that there was a clash between an exclude file in some BC scenery for Scum Lake and something else that caused my compass to be reading true instead of magnetic. So I have Chris as well as Norm and the DCA team to thank for bringing that issue to light. You might even get accurate directions in future features now! Norm emailed me to let me know of the struggles that they have had in trying to keep the forum out of the grasp of the trash who were posting spam where it wasn't wanted. This led to some of the links going down, and some members losing access. He has asked me to pass on his apologies for the problems and any frustrations arising. Personally I have greatly enjoyed the flights and think Norm and the team deserve medals for their constant efforts against the spammers. Here's hoping that next year they have a far less stressful time of it. Now off to fly leg 10 and stick some screenshots up of the various schemes that I found to use on each leg.

Good evening all: I started the rally with gusto and was enjoying the challanges. Posted the first three legs then ended up having to bow out because of time. Trip planning cost me more time then I had. To mke matters worst this old computer decided to do a double update for McAfee and Windows at the same time. No computer until last week. I am doing the rally for myself and then getting ready for Bluegrass GAAR 2012.
