May we will all fly better in 2012, I certainly could do with it. Anyway I hope the coming year brings lots and lots of grins, cheers folks, Ed

Best wishes for all from here! Allan, I'll be drinking a toast of Balvenie with you at Midnight, your time and then start the Party Ride westward in my Gulfstream IV. I am due to land at Prestwick shortly. (On the Party Ride we drink to each Midnight we pass through between Scotland and California.) The difference this time is I will have a designated (sober) pilot flying the plane while I play in the band in the back. A good time will be had by all. Hope I can remember it this time.

Tom,
I'll toast your departure from our drizzly and windy shores with a tot of Laphroaig - you will be passing over the distillery on Islay as you climb away to warmer climbs.
As I have to drive over to Edinburgh tomorrow to collect my daughter on the first stage of getting her back to London by Monday night I won't be able to keep pace with you as the time zones slip by!
Slangevar,
Allan

OK after a 2-hour visit here in Scotland I drank a toast for peace, prosperity and happiness for all and am joining the party for takeoff. (I know it's corny but we can always hope.)
