Well, the move is coming, but not as I'd planned. What you see here is about the situation. A lot of "channeling" has been done for the electrical conduit and water system and most of the walls have been primed, or sealed to take paint. In fact, a few walls aren't stuccoed at all. I plan on moving there in about three weeks, and 7-9 days later the rest of the family. My boy'll go out there dailily to help get the place ready, actually, as ready as possible before the rest of the family moves in.
So that means get the electrical, drainage, and fresh water systems installed, including the sinks, faucets, toilet, etc. We also have to dig 120 meters from the west for the connection to the water source, and 120 meters south for the cable to the electrical source. Ahhh, the windows. To begin with, we will have to put in "Mexican windows"- known as plastic. We plan to replace them with real windows by end of June- when the rains sart. Ohh,one other little thing- I won't have the stairs completed until about a month after we're all in- no problem tho- I've got an excellent ladder!
Here's the real problem- no phone nor internet service. Just found out. Yeah, that's a problem- my boy in college and our girl in high school- school work and social. So long to downloading RW wx in FS. That knock the program down a big notch, or two, or three, or... Well, that's living in a third world country!
The good thingsare there tho. Out of the city, which is a major issue to me here in MX. The poeple in the country are definitely a higher caliber type- in some cases the educational level in the country is lower than in town, but the country people here are definitely more cultured and in this country a small difference in culture level is a big major thing. Plus, I just prefer to be in he country. My boy is 100% gung-ho on moving, but my girl is, ahh let's dee- not so much.
The move is necessary as I see it, due to the economics. I havea real problem getting to work on a regular basis, even tho I only work on a part time basis. If my boy were out of school I'd definitely drop hours, but right now the money is necessary. Fortunately my schedule is perfect for me, which helps a lot.
Anyway, I'll be checking this Forum most Saturaday mornings beginning the 2nd or 3rd Saturday in April, and hopefully I'll have access long enough to file some flights, although that is also getting to be sporatic due to the extra work of the new house. I check this forum daily, which I'll do unti I go.
Well, that's a lot of writing for now.
