Thanks to David Evans who has spotted that the DC3 Airways site is running their World Rally again.
He has also run into a problem that was encountered by some last year with accessing their forum. Brett pointed out a fix listed by Dai over at Mutley's Hangar last year. So, if you're still following, thanks to Brett and Dai here should be a fix:
"A problem with IE9, Tools and Javascript - hopefully this work around should do the trick:
Quote For those who cant access the DC3 airways website with IE9 because of the java error here's the fix.
1.Right click on the TOOLS icon in the top right side of your browser. 2.Click on the Command bar setting. 3.This will now display the command bar across the page. It will have a printer and email icon on it. 4.Click tools 5.Click Compatibility View settings. 6.Paste DC3 Airways web address into the add website box. 7. Click ADD.
Site should be accessible."
The DCA crew have always enthusiastically joined in our GAAR events, so it would be nice if we can reciprocate. It also gives a golden opportunity to have fun flying DC3s, which can't be bad!
Having failed my Philadelphia Bar exams I always struggle to figure out the scoring system, so I gave up trying a few years back and just trundle round as best I can.
They had terrible problems with spammers last year so I somehow lost access to the Rally Forum after a while.
Flight dates are from November 5th to December 4th at 3 day intervals, but flights can be logged up to the end of the rally if life or SWMBO get in the way.

I had an email from Norm Hancock, President, DC-3 Airways, just to make sure we knew about the WR 2012.
The WR 2012 will be the Feature of the Month for November and I am currently working on the web site pages.
Cheers Andrew

I had a further email from Norm Hancock explaining some early problems with registration due to an error in the Form on the "Join" page on the WR web site. The relevant section of the email and necessary corrective registration action is below.
"...Humble apologies...for the registration problems. There was an unnoticed error on the Joins page which meant applications, though being acknowledged with an automated message, weren't being forwarded to Bob Betts for his attention. The fault is now fixed for all subsequent applications, but for those...who submitted their application while the problem existed the information was lost.
I've tried to alert as many as possible but failing miserably!! If you haven't received your WR pilot number and haven't yet tried to contact Bob would you mind using the following email address dcawr2012@comcast.net to briefly let him know that you have previously applied but haven't received a pilot number. He will very soon sort it out...".
If this has happened to you, provide your registration details in the email as per the Form details on the WR 2012 "Join" page.
Cheers Andrew
