I am flying a PAD (Premier Aircraft Design) FSX aircraft and have installed the BGA livery. I like the livery, but wonder if anyone knows how to make it sharper or crisper. MY BGA Howard Aero 500 looks great and crisp. My BGA Avro York is a little blurry. Any ideas? Thanks. Steve

Different graphic cards can affect the way liveries show up.So what works for one installation might not look so hot on another. If you try zooming in and back out again and the livery cleans up then it might be a mips issue. mips are the way liveries show up at a distance, so if that's a problem I'll see if they are used in the repaints and if a non-mips copy might sort it for you.

Thanks Allan. Zooming in and out did not affect the blurries. I downloaded the PAD FS-9 B1900D to see if it would "fly" in FSX, and see if the texture would look crisp. Unfortunately there were too many gauges that were too old for FSX. If you do find a non mips repaint I'll sure give it a try.

Steve,
More often than not, the blurry textures are caused by the "Global texture resolution" setting under "Display Settings".
Click on "Settings" and then "Customize" at the bottom, middle of the screen. Under "Global Options" on the right hand side, set the "Global texture resolution" slider to "Very High".
Cheers Andrew

Bravo Andrew. Problem solved. I have flown FSX for at least three years and never needed to increase the global texture resolution beyond medium. Thanks for the tip. See two pics with "very high" resolution, and the third is with "high" resolution. Cheers Steve +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Thanks Andrew. There is definitely some good stuff in that article. I've made one or two other adjustments. Cheers.
