After a night at Stanley, heading north. 3 and 4, purring like some happy kittens Hours of this... Followed by hours of this... Did see a beautiful moon over the South Atlantic. Finally, the first glimmer of a new day. St Helena at sunrise. Napoleon Bonaparte was exiled and died here. Off to Ascension... 4+ hours later, Ascension... Next stop, Dakar, then on to Southampton.

Somehow, in the midst of getting airborne, I didn't get a departure shot of Acension. Oh well. It was on to Dakar, the westernmost point of Africa. The approach was, to put it mildly...interesting... Visibility was nearly 3 miles, and the approach was right over the city. The skies cleared in time for a 1900 departure. Had to go this late, so it would be daylight in Southampton. Nothing much to say about a long night of flying. Sunrise finally came over the Channel. Sunrise isn't nearly as photogenic as sunset.. Approach to Southampton Sea Base And at the bouy patch. The flight to New York is going to have to wait till I get back from Oz... Cheers
