Good news!, my vessel is about to arrive Fremantle Harbour just in time! I'm curious about my little DH80, hope she survived! a last turn.. .. and the ship sits on the pier! I wonder in which container the aircraft is stored. After unload, the aircraft will be transported to Perth Jandakot airport for reassembling. It will work out all right.

See, I still have to work to improve my small pension! Our today's Cargo flight leads us from Newman (YNWN) to Broome (YBRM) in Western Australia and this formidable signorina on my side is my Co-pilot today - and we see, able to lend a hand!! We have stored 1 ton of fuel and 3 tons of cargo, and our TOW amounts to 11.7 tons. Well, all clearances are received, and we fire up engine #1 While on taxi to the holding point rwy 23, we process the mile-long checklist.. WX is not too bad: Wind from the south, 23°C SCT030 BKN037CB "short back track to rwy 23".. .. and take off, with AC power 42" 2550 RPM. (slight shudder in the cockpit, but great sound..) .. gear going in and the flaps are travelling upwards. Set climb power please! Established climb power to cruise speed, and we follow a straight line direct to Broome.. .. with an impressively landscape below us, have a look! .. Our noisy parlour - but homey! After more then two hours in the air, top of descent for an RNAV approach rwy 10 Travelling abm the airport of Broome - inbound to our IAF "BRMWD".. The sky's the limit.. Again, the mile-long checklist.. .. and before we know where we are .. .. final rwy 10 .. looks like Saint Martin in the northeast Caribbean.. Firm but fair! Where on earth is our stand? Finally we made it, all settled! Let's call it a day. (Where is Miss Co-Pilot?)
