I was checking the latest NOAA weather radar to see if I would be shoveling in the morning, and noticed a section on ground snow measurement . I stumbled on to a very interesting site , not the measurement itself , but it included a listing of all aircraft used, there task function , and a list of all flights an airports used all over the united states. Talk about a job where you can legally fly low, snow measurement flight must be flown at 500 to 1000 FT above ground level. www.aoc.noaa.gov/aircraft.htm . Enough flights to keep a pilot busy !

The aircraft involved are vastly different, but that wouldn't be a bad gig for an off-season sprayer.
