I Call this PIREP - ROAD TRIP !!! Early in 2014 I flew from Miami International to Key West International, for BGA. I decided to drive back to Miami International to see how many of the bridges would be drive-able. FSX makes hard bridges for highway and road AI traffic. The autogen bridges were drive-able, but there were a few that were modeled which were not, especially Seven Mile Bridge. Our boss and CEO of Bluegrass was recently on holidays in southern Florida and the Keys, and drove the US Hwy 1 (Overseas highway) through the Florida Keys, and this inspired me to finish my previously begun road trip and make a report. So here goes. At Key West International I found one of those "follow me" cars used by the airport. I got to Seven Mile Bridge and had to rent a yacht to get to the north side of the bridge and begin road travel again. The north end of the Seven Mile Bridge ahead. I hitched a ride with a policeman heading to Miami. Approaching Homestead FL, just before changing to Hwy 821. I knew there would be bridges over water but what surprised me was the bridges over highways at major interchanges... like this one. Approaching the southwest corner of Miami International we witnessed airliners on final approach. The officer and I parked outside the perimeter fence on a narrow road and did some plane spotting. My last screenshot shows Air Jamaica and American Airlines getting ready to depart from runway 9.
